Bob Jacquin founded JSP in 1979.  In 1993, encourage by St. Louis’ urban rebirth, JSP renovated a turn of the century building and moved to their current downtown location on Olive Street.  In 2006 JSP continued their growth by expanding into, and renovating, an adjoining building.

The 11,000 square foot studio complex was carefully planned to accommodate multiple projects simultaneously.  Studio A is 1,400 square feet and was specifically designed for food, beverage and tabletop shooting.  Studio B provides 3,500 square feet of an open shooting bay with a street level overhead door.  Studio C is 3,800 square feet with a 40’ x 20’ cyc wall, a complete workshop and two street level overhead doors.

In addition Studio B has a commercial grade kitchen designed for food and beverage photography with a secondary kitchen in Studio C.  Hair, make-up and changing room facilities are located in both Studio B and C.  The studio incorporated a number of architectural design features, including lounge areas, that provides additional backdrops for photo opportunities.

Three professional photographers offer a range of style and experience to match a diverse spectrum of requirements – from literal images that accurately document the features of a product to artistic impressions that inspire emotion. The photographers work with both digital and film as dictated by production logistics and/or technical requirements of the final images whether shooting in studio or on location.
